The Loudoun Symphony gives musicians from Loudoun and surrounding areas the opportunity to present fine music and enrich the cultural climate of the community. The organization provides diverse levels of performing opportunities for musicians by maintaining three ensembles:
The Loudoun Chamber Symphony, a select orchestra in which the area's highest-caliber musicians perform. The Loudoun Community Orchestra, a full symphonic orchestra where highly accomplished amateur and student musicians perform alongside professionals. The Loudoun String Workshop, an educational group that develops ensemble techniques and provides performing opportunities in a supportive setting. It is open to all.The Loudoun Symphony provides a spectrum of classical music by presenting a season of concerts featuring these three ensembles. It rounds out its cultural offerings through chamber music concerts, children's concerts, and collaborations with other arts organizations. The Board of Directors of the non-profit, unaffiliated Loudoun Symphony Association, Inc., is composed of dedicated area supporters of the fine arts.
